Zachary Authier is a consultant at Global Public Affairs providing government relations and strategic counsel to clients. His wealth of experience in politics, grassroots advocacy and government relations has provided real opportunities to develop innovative solutions to complex policy issues.
Prior to joining Global Public Affairs, he managed public affairs for a national Indigenous resource advocacy organization, where he engaged with Canadian policymakers, G7 representatives, and key decision-makers in government to influence public policy. In this role, Zach was able to advocate for a national Indigenous guaranteed loan program to be sector agnostic and support Indigenous ownership in resource projects. His experience also includes working in the non-profit sector, analyzing policy for the government, managing political campaigns and advising political candidates across various levels of government. During his university years, he served as an infantry reservist and retired from the Canadian Armed Forces in 2021. He regularly volunteers with his local food bank, Loaves and Fishes.
Zach holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History from Vancouver Island University and has earned accreditations in Public Relations and Project Management.
