Sabrina Maddeaux brings over a decade of expertise as an award-winning journalist, communications strategist, and public policy expert to her role as Director of Communications at Global Public Affairs. Recognized for transforming complex issues into compelling narratives, she empowers clients to navigate high-stakes public opinion and policy landscapes with clarity and impact.

Sabrina’s media career spans Canada’s top outlets, including the National Post, Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and The Hub, where she covered elections, major global events, budget days, and earned a ban from Russia for her reporting on the Ukraine invasion and international corruption.
Her work has won National Magazine Awards, Canadian Online Publishing Awards, and a Webby. Her frequent appearances as a broadcast commentator and as co-host of The Missing Middle podcast with the Smart Prosperity Institute engage audiences on Canada’s critical policy issues.

Prior to GPA, Sabrina led thought leadership and content strategy for RBCx, the innovation arm of Canada’s largest bank. She also helped scale eight in-house tech startups with strategic positioning, branding, creative services, and content development.

Sabrina was one of 144 global employees selected for RBC’s 2023 Social Impact Leadership Program, where she leveraged her strategic communications expertise to help non-profit partners.
Sabrina holds a BA (Honors) in Political Science from St. Bonaventure University and a Canadian Securities Course certification.
