Nicolas is a government relations and public affairs strategist serving as a Senior Advisor at MERCURE, where he helps organizations navigate complex political, media, and institutional environments. He advises clients on government relations strategies, stakeholder engagement, and the management of sensitive public affairs and communications issues.
His professional background includes several years in federal politics between 2019 and 2024, including more than two years in the Office of Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In these roles, Nicolas developed strong expertise in public policy analysis, institutional processes, and political strategy, while also gaining experience in crisis management and strategic communications.
Prior to joining MERCURE, he worked at the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec on major files related to the energy transition, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and workforce challenges. Through these experiences, he gained practical insight into the realities of federal, provincial, and municipal governance.
Nicolas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Université de Montréal and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the École nationale d’administration publique (ENAP). His research focuses on Quebec’s energy exports to the United States and related economic and political dynamics.
