Michael Brewster has extensive experience in public affairs and is recognized for his ability to navigate complex environments where economic, regulatory, legislative, and societal issues intersect. He has a proven track record of engaging governments, influencing public policy, and positioning complex initiatives to ensure their success across diverse sectors, including mining, chemicals, energy, housing, telecommunications, environment, and supply chains.

His expertise is based on a deep understanding of the workings of the Canadian government, including Cabinet decision-making processes and federal budget cycles, as well as regulatory and legislative processes. He also has solid experience in stakeholder management. His contributions include the reform of Canada’s Impact Assessment Act, regulatory efficiency initiatives, and the overhaul of the Environmental Protection Act.

Committed to responsible economic development, Michael stands out for his strategic approach, political acumen, and ability to unite stakeholders around a shared vision.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in natural and managed environments and a certificate in business administration from Université Laval. He also completed a master’s degree in environmental practice at Royal Roads University, specializing in nature-related financial risk disclosures.
