Maryann is a Senior Advisor at Global Public Affairs. She has a wealth of experience in municipal government, business management, and banking.
Maryann served on the Whitecourt municipal council for 11 years, including eight years as mayor. During that time, she served as both a Director and Vice President for the Alberta Municipalities and a Board Director on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities board. She has been the forefront of raising national awareness on many issues affecting municipalities, in addition to working closely with industry and government agencies on a variety of topics that have included partnerships with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, the Forest Products Association of Canada, and the Coalition of Canadian Municipalities for Energy Action.
