Leila is an Associate Vice President with Global Public Affairs and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Global’s Victoria office. She provides strategic government relations counsel, stakeholder engagement and communications support, focusing on the Energy, Environment and Resources, and Health and Life Sciences sectors. In her role, Leila has successfully planned, delivered, and implemented multiple government relations engagement plans, media training for government and industry representatives and advocacy training sessions.
Before joining Global, Leila held various roles with the B.C. government, as a Chief of Staff for the Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, a Director in the Premier’s Office, and an Issues Manager in Government Communications and Public Engagement. She worked and volunteered on municipal, provincial and federal election campaigns. This experience, as well as her time working as a Research and Communications Officer with the BC NDP Official Opposition, means that Leila brings an in-depth knowledge of the province’s political landscape to her work with Global.
Leila earned an Honours Degree in Political Science from the University of Victoria.
