As Senior Fellow, Andy Manahan brings over 30 years of experience in the development and construction sectors to Global Public Affairs. As an association executive, he took a solutions-oriented approach to influence the legislative, regulatory and public policy agenda. Much of this influence was achieved through the commissioning of top-notch research. Andy also led government relations for six years at a major construction union.
Over the years, Andy has been a frequent speaker and moderator at public events such as the Association of Municipalities of Ontario annual conference and similar forums. He is a sought-after media spokesperson on infrastructure delivery, finance and procurement.
Andy serves on the executive team and is a past president of the Association of Ontario Land Economists. He has also participated on many volunteer committees ranging from transit delivery to streamlining approvals processes.
Mr. Manahan obtained his Master’s in Urban Geography from the University of Waterloo, where his thesis dealt with municipal fire service delivery.
