Michael Mactaggart

Senior Consultant, Agri-Food & Consumer Goods

Michael supports the Agri-Food & Consumer Goods practice group in servicing clients with their federal government relations mandates. He provides sector specific regulatory and legislative analysis and communication advice and has extensive knowledge of Canada’s consumer product safety regime. Michael has consulted for the retail and manufacturing sectors and has professional experience in marketing. Over the years, he has supported a variety of mandates involving industry coalitions, association management and corporate social responsibility agendas.

Prior to joining Global, Michael was with a multinational law firm where he worked as a political and communications consultant in the firm's global government relations and regulatory practices in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also worked for a Member of the Scottish Parliament. Michael holds an LLB from the University of Edinburgh and BA (Hon) in Communications from Queen's University.
