Andrew is a bilingual Consultant in the Cultural Industries practice group at Global Public Affairs, with experience as a practicing musician and a political assistant on Parliament Hill. After graduating from Glendon College, York University with a B.A. in Political Science and Canadian Studies, Andrew was selected for the Parliamentary Internship Programme, working for both government and opposition Members of Parliament, including the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage.
Prior to joining Global, Andrew worked with TECHNATION, the industry association for companies in the technology and innovation sectors, working with public officials and political leaders to enhance the Canadian technology ecosystem.
Andrew has also performed as a professional classical musician for over seven years, including for Juno- and Grammy-nominated organizations such the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the Theatre of Early Music, and The Elora Singers. His master’s thesis in Canadian Studies at Carleton University focused on cultural policy and the lived experiences of professional arts workers. Andrew currently serves as President-Elect of Choirs Ontario and is a passionate advocate for the arts and culture sector.
Andrew’s work in politics and the arts give him a unique perspective on the challenges the sector is facing, along with the experience to offer Global’s Cultural Industries clients insight, which both meets their needs and impacts the public policy discussion.
