Based out of Ottawa as a Consultant on the Health and Life Sciences team, Sam provides Global’s clientele with support in regulatory analysis, strategic planning and communications, and government relations.
Prior to joining Global, Sam served as the Project Coordinator of Strategic Business Development at HEXO Corp, where he developed a keen understanding of the regulations governing the manufacturing, marketing, sale, and distribution (both domestic and international) of the burgeoning cannabis industry. This experience followed his time with the House of Commons of Canada, where he developed an acute understanding of the Canadian legislative process while serving first as a Page and subsequently as a Proceedings and Verification Officer.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Sam has a passion for Indigenous-Settler relations, social justice, youth empowerment, and civic engagement. He has had the privilege of working with stakeholders at multiple levels of government as well as NGOs, including Scholars At Risk, Skills Compétences Canada, Education First, and Junior Achievement.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management with a specialization in Human Rights from Carleton University’s Arthur Kroeger College and received his Credential of Readiness in Business from Harvard Business School Online.
