Jill Swenson is the Director, British Columbia at Global Public Affairs. Jill has more than 17 years of experience in politics at both the provincial and federal level. As the Director of Operations to two high-profile federal Cabinet Ministers, Jill led the comprehensive stakeholder relations programs for Canada’s trade agreements, advised local businesses as they navigated complicated trade relationships and challenges, organized international trade missions, and led the approval of hundreds of government infrastructure projects. She has worked closely with all levels of government, government officials, and stakeholders across the country on numerous large-scale projects. Projects and campaigns include: the CanExport program, Invest in Canada, CPTPP and CETA, multiple APEC, WTO, G20, G7, and FPT meetings, multiple trade missions around the globe, and the launch and assessment of multiple federal infrastructure funding programs. Prior to working in government, Jill spent several years in public engagement and in strategic and crisis communications in the private sector.

Jill completed her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at the University of Saskatchewan, and did her second degree in International Business at both Grant MacEwan University and the University of Alberta.
