Conor is currently a Consultant with Global Public Affairs. Prior to Global, Conor worked at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), where he served as Regional Communications Officer. Conor was responsible for AAFC corporate communications in Alberta. He worked with all levels of government, the private sector and media to create public awareness for AAFC and the agriculture industry. Prior to AAFC, Conor worked as a Consultant at a public affairs firm in Ottawa. In this role, Conor conducted public policy, regulatory and legislative analysis and other public affairs duties such as event planning, securing meetings with public office holders on behalf of clients and strategic communications planning and advice. Conor has experience in engagement and consultations with Indigenous communities, having served as Communications Advisor at Ishkonigan Fontaine Strategic Solutions. At this role, Conor was on a team responsible for initiating engagement with Indigenous communities on behalf of TransCanada for the Energy East Pipeline project.
With a passion for politics, Conor has volunteered on several political campaigns. Additionally, Conor volunteers at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society and the Calgary Drop-In and Rehab Centre. Conor earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies – Journalism at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. He has business development training in conflict resolution, having completed the University of Waterloo Conflict Management: Negotiation and Mediation Levels 1 and 2.
