Scott is a Senior Consultant with Global Public Affairs and is a member of their Alberta Team. Based out of Global’s Calgary Office, Scott specializes in supporting clients in the Municipal and Infrastructure portfolios, providing government relations and strategic advice to municipal, corporate and not-for-profit clients.

Prior to joining Global, Scott was an assistant to two Members of Parliament for Red Deer from 2006 to 2010, served eight years as Senior Policy Advisor to Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and served five years with The City of Calgary’s Administration as a Senior Strategist within the Government Relations Office. Through his career Scott has advised-on, and supported dozens of, infrastructure projects and advocacy initiatives including Penhold’s Regional Multiplex, Red Deer’s 2010 sanitary sewer and storm water improvements, Calgary’s Airport Tunnel, the Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line, Calgary’s four YMCA recreation centres, the municipal-led effort to bring Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) to Alberta and The City of Calgary’s federal and provincial election advocacy campaign ‘City Matters’. He has campaigned for political parties and candidates nationally, provincially and municipally.

Scott is an active volunteer in the Calgary Community and is Vice Chair of 783 (Calgary) Wing of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association (RCAFA) and is a member of the Calgary Ukrainian Evacuee Welcome Committee, aiding Ukrainian evacuees displaced by war. Scott is an aspirant writer who is currently working on a book regarding political staffing.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts, Double Major in History and Political Science, from the University of Alberta with a certificate in Globalization and Governance.
