Jay McDonald is a Consultant within the Cultural Industries practice group. He is a well-rounded research, policy, and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience working in the traditional and new media, public opinion research, federal politics, and cultural industries.
Prior to joining Global, Jay served as a Communications Consultant with a national artists’ guild, where he contributed to the creation of a universal style guide, communications policy, membership surveys, and a website redesign. Previously, he served for over a decade as a Legislative Assistant to several Members of Parliament representing rural, urban, and mixed constituencies across Canada. In these roles, he worked on a broad range of policy and legislative files, including Indigenous Services and Crown-Indigenous Relations, small business, tourism, regional economic development, veterans’ affairs, and housing, among others.
