Jack Magnus is a Senior Consultant on Global Public Affairs’ Energy, Environment and Resources team. He brings rightsholder and stakeholder relations, energy policy, and regulatory knowledge from his previous role at the Clean Energy Association of British Columbia (CEBC).

At CEBC, Jack was responsible for engagement and operations, managing over 110 members. He coordinated member input on policy submissions and communications, produced briefing notes, responded to media, planned events, wrote newsletters on electrification and reconciliation, and supported the development and execution of engagement strategies with the Executive Director. Jack is also connected to the Marine Emergency Response Industry as Vice-Chair of the Fraser Marine Rescue Society and Advanced Crew at Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Richmond.

As the 2021 gold medal graduate from the University of British Columbia’s Political Science Department, Jack is an adaptable policy analyst emphasizing collaboration between Political Science and Natural Resources Conservation. His focus is on environmental assessment, electrification, and reconciliation. Jack’s undergraduate honours thesis on meaningful Indigenous-Crown consultation during environmental assessment in B.C. earned him a nomination to the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal Program for Inclusion, Democracy and Reconciliation.
