Emily Freitas is a Consultant at Global Public Affairs.
She brings hands-on experience from within the Ontario government, having served as Senior Communications and Legislative Affairs Advisor in the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. In this role, she managed communications strategy and legislative monitoring, giving her a proactive understanding of how bills are passed and turning fast-moving legislative developments into clear, actionable communications.
Earlier on, she began her career in municipal government as Council and Committee Coordinator with the Town of Aurora, where she developed a foundational understanding of local governance and public administration.
Emily holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in History, both from York University.
