A seasoned strategist in public affairs and strategic communications, Charles Robert advises organizations on managing their government, media, and reputational issues. Based in the Capitale-Nationale region, he leads MERCURE Conseil’s operations in Quebec City and assists clients in analyzing their political environment, developing government relations strategies, and managing complex issues.
With over a decade of experience at the heart of Quebec’s institutions, he possesses in-depth knowledge of parliamentary processes and the workings of government. From 2008 to 2022, he held several strategic positions, notably as Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Media Relations for the Premier of Quebec, as well as for the leaders of the Official Opposition. He also served as Director of Communications at the Ministry of Labor and as a political advisor at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.
Since 2022, he has been applying his expertise to influential organizations in the maritime and transportation sectors, including the St. Lawrence Shipowners Association and the Quebec Automobile Dealers Association. Recognized for his expertise in crisis management and media relations, he also serves as a speaker on Quebec political and institutional issues.
