Craig Watt serves as Senior Counsel for Global Public Affairs based out of the Calgary office. Drawing from his decades of experience in business, campaigns, and government, along with deep connections to Canada’s energy sector, he advises clients on a variety of national and provincial issues that affect their interests.
For more than a decade, and serving under seven different Ministers of Energy, Craig served as Special Representative in the Alberta Department of Energy, ensuring Alberta’s broad energy ecosystem stayed connected to government officials in Edmonton. In addition to his time in government Craig worked with Enserva, the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, and CAPP in senior operational, policy, and communications roles.
He is currently a public director with the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) where he brings independent oversight and governance expertise. He previously operated his own business as an importer of fine wine, beer, and spirits for more than a decade, served as an industry representative on the Nova Scotia Subsurface Energy R&D Investment Program oversight committee, and has long been an active volunteer in his community. He has also led numerous political campaigns at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels.
