Philip Cartwright

Senior Consultant, Transportation, Infrastructure & Communities

Philip Cartwright is a key member of Global Public Affairs’ Transportation, Infrastructure & Communities practice group. Philip works closely with the other members of his team managing and executing client strategies across a range of sectors including rail, air and marine for regulatory, legislative and policy development exercises. Philip’s clients include a major airline, tourism operators, resource producers and shippers and trade industry associations, among others. Philip is responsible for setting Parliamentary monitoring priorities and works closely with Marina Connors, Research Analyst, to ensure timely integration of Parliamentary and legislative considerations into clients’ overall strategies. Philip also plays an important role in his practice group’s coalition management service.

Philip joined Global Public Affairs from the Privy Council Office, where he worked in various secretariats including Machinery of Government, Cabinet Confidences and Senior Personnel and Special Projects. Prior to living abroad in South Africa, Philip worked with a Toronto-based construction safety consulting firm and an international public opinion polling firm.

Active in federal political party circles, Philip also participates in a volunteer capacity with several Ottawa-based organizations including the National Arts Centre and WaterCan.

Philip speaks French and conversational Italian and holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (Hons.) degree from Carleton University's Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs.
