Patty Toner

Research Analyst, Transportation, Infrastructure & Communities

Patty Toner is a new member of the Transportation, Infrastructure & Communities practice group in Ottawa. Patty supports clients on a range of research and strategic initiatives focused on air, marine, rail shipping and infrastructure development and financing files.  She is responsible for Parliamentary and legislative reporting and also contributes to the coordination of a range of corporate communications and practice group publications and public events.

Prior to joining Global Public Affairs, Patty worked with United Way/Centraide Ottawa where she was responsible for the coordination of donor-related  initiatives, stewardship for larger, targeted gifts and the development of departmental strategies.  Previously, Patty worked on Parliament Hill as Special Assistant to a Nova Scotia MP and also worked as a Page at Nova Scotia’s provincial legislature.  Each of these roles provided Patty with an excellent background in relationship management, Parliamentary and legislative affairs, stakeholder relations and policy development exercises.

Originally from New Brunswick, Patty holds a BA in History from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax and is currently working towards a Master’s of Public Administration from Carleton University.
