Leanne Laverick

Account Coordinator, Corpen Group

Leanne Laverick brings a strong focus on social media, crisis communications, media analysis and strategic corporate communications. In her current position as an Account Coordinator, Leanne plays an integral role providing ongoing project assistance and contributing to the overall success of client projects.

Leanne’s unique skill set includes key message development (both issue and crisis specific), news release and media product development, crisis communication plan and exercise design, media analysis, issue identification, social media strategies and strategic communication planning.

Previously, Leanne was a member of the corporate communications team at Shaw Communications where she was responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of several strategic communications campaigns that supported such corporate initiatives as the company’s quarterly updates, product launches and community giving programs.  Prior to Shaw, Leanne was part of the corporate communications team at the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club where she developed and executed several marketing and communications strategies, wrote press releases, media advisories, communications plans, game day program articles and hosted media.

Leanne graduated on the President’s Honour Roll from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor of Applied Communications: Public Relations degree. During her time at the University, Leanne held a number of volunteer positions including acting as a student representative on the Mount Royal University Public Relations Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors for the Canadian Public Relations Society Calgary Chapter.
