John Allen joined Global Public Affairs in 2011 to work on overall service development across different client sectors. His main strength lies in strategy development and implementation, with a focus on maximizing business impact. His work within Global straddles both public affairs and communications functions and has touched on a variety of sectors and issues to date.

Prior to joining Global, John spent nine years in Brussels where he worked at the European Parliament, the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union and a large global communications and public affairs agency. During that time, he orchestrated advocacy efforts that took in national governments, the European Union and international organizations such as the World Trade Organization, World Health Organization and the United Nations. John has experience in the technology, energy, non-governmental organization and health sectors, having worked with clients across Europe, North America and Africa. During that time he worked with leading blue-chip corporations, industry organizations, international agencies and not-for-profits.

John holds an MBA from the Vlerick Management School in Leuven, Belgium and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
